Amud times for your shul's website

Live times from Amud for one place that you choose. For Shabbos: parsha or Yom Tov, special Shabbosos, candle lighting, Krias Shema, shkia and Shabbos ends. For weekdays: every zman of the day, fasts, Yom Tov, bank holidays and a whole week at a time, with what is different in the davening in Hebrew. Add your own davening times, such as "Mincha 10 minutes before shkia" or "Shacharis 8:00 on Sundays and bank holidays", and Amud works them out every week. Save it all as your shul's own link. It uses the same calculations as the Amud app. The place is part of the link and is never taken from the device, so a phone or website that moves can't be given another town's times.

Credit is required. Wherever these times are shown, show "Zmanim by Amud - getamud.com" with a link to getamud.com. The embedded board already does this for you.

What the board shows

1. The place

2. Opinions

Every opinion starts on Amud's default. Change one only if your shul follows something else.

More opinions

3. Which zmanim

Chometz on Erev Pesach, a fast's start and end, candle lighting and the end of Shabbos or Yom Tov always appear on the day they apply, even when not ticked.

4. Your davening times

Each one is worked out from a zman every week. Friday's and Shabbos's shkia are different times, so choose the right one.

5. What else to show

The davening changes, haftarah, molad and the other Hebrew lines are shown in Hebrew only.

Your shul's own link

Save everything above - the place, the opinions, the Shabbos times and the weekday times - as your shul's own short link, such as getamud.com/s/kehal-yedidim. Put that one link on your screen, your website and your app. When you change your times later, every screen follows by itself; nobody has to paste a new link.

Both the Shabbos and the weekday times are saved, so set each with the tabs at the top. The name shown on the board is needed.

Claude connector

Add Amud to Claude and ask in plain words, for example "When is candle lighting in NW4 2DR this Friday, and put Mincha 10 minutes before shkia", or "Make me this week's Mincha and Maariv times for NW4 2DR". Claude gets live data from Amud, not code, and is told to credit Amud whenever it shows the times.

Its tools: get_shabbos_times, get_day_times (any day, a week, or up to a whole year), get_api_link (when you are building a website or app with Claude, it hands Claude a live link to fetch rather than the times themselves, so it costs less and stays right), get_shul_times (a shul that has saved its own link), save_shul (sets up or changes a shul's own link, only when you ask, and gives you the edit key) and get_amud_options. Claude can work out your week in plain words, such as "Shacharis 7:00, Sundays and bank holidays 8:00, Rosh Chodesh 6:45". The davening changes, haftarah and molad come to Claude in Hebrew. Like the links above, it always asks for the place and never guesses it.

For developers

Everything below is also in the integration guide (PDF), with code for JavaScript, React, Swift, Kotlin and Python, and a ready prompt for Claude Code and other AI builders.

Endpoints

GETReturns
/api/v1/shabbosJSON for one Shabbos (or weeks of them). format=flat gives one level of strings.
/api/v1/shabbos.htmlThe board, for an iframe or a screen in shul. It refreshes itself every 30 minutes and moves on to next week after Shabbos ends.
/api/v1/dayAny day: date=YYYY-MM-DD (default today at the place), days=1 to 385 from it, or every day up to to=YYYY-MM-DD. A whole year in one request. Weekdays, Yom Tov, Chol HaMoed and fasts.
/api/v1/weekSunday to Shabbos of the week holding date. Without a date, this week, moving on to the next once Shabbos ends.

/api/v1/optionsEvery field, opinion, preset and rule, with the defaults.
POST /api/v1/shulSave a shul's setup and get its own link and an edit key. GET, PUT or DELETE /api/v1/shul/<name> to read, change or remove it (change and remove need Authorization: Bearer <edit key>).
/s/<name>A saved shul's board, and /s/<name>/shabbos, /week, /day. JSON at /api/v1/shul/<name>/shabbos, /week, /day.
/mcpThe Claude connector (MCP over HTTP).

The place - required, one of

postcodeA UK postcode, e.g. NW4 2DR. An outward code alone (NW4) uses its centre.
lat, lon, tzAnywhere in the world. tz is the IANA zone, e.g. America/New_York. A zone that does not belong to the coordinates is refused, so a typo can't move the shul to another country.

Optional

dateYYYY-MM-DD: the Shabbos on or after it. Without it, the coming Shabbos is shown until it ends.
weeks1 to 55 (a whole year of Shabbosos).
fieldsComma list of time keys (below), or friday, shabbos, none.
ruleA davening time, repeatable. See below.
nusachashkenaz (default), sefard, chabad, edot. Names are written in Ashkenazi or Sefardi transliteration to match.
presetA local luach, accepted only where it belongs (e.g. kedassia, unitedsyn in London).
candlesYour own candle-lighting minutes before shkia.
showboth (default), zmanim (Amud's zmanim only) or schedule (your own davening times only).
featuresWhat else to include: davening, haftarah, molad, mevorchim, special, parsha, omer, chanukah, kiddushLevana, fast, yomtov, hebrewDate, gregorianDate, bankHoliday, reminders, or all / none. JSON gives everything unless you choose; boards leave out Kiddush Levana and the reminders unless you choose them.
daveningOnly these davening items, by key, e.g. hallel,tachanun,yaaleh.
holidays, extraHolidaysWhich bank holidays: england (England and Wales), scotland, ni, us or none; left out, it follows the place. Add your own dates with extraHolidays=2026-12-24,2026-12-31=Staff day.
clock, theme, heading, notes=012 or 24 hour; board theme auto/light/dark; a line above the title; hide the small notes.

Opinions - leave out to keep Amud's default

Davening-time rules

rule=Label:anchor+N or -N, with optional rounding @5down, @5up or @5, and limits >HH:MM (never before) and <HH:MM (never after). A fixed time is written Label:09:00 (Shabbos) or Label:friday 13:30. In front you may say which Shabbosos it is for: mevorchim, roshchodesh, special, chanukah, yomtov, cholhamoed, summer, winter or a date. The more specific rule with the same name wins.

rule=Mincha:friday.candleLighting
rule=Mincha:shabbos.shkia-20@5down
rule=Mincha:winter shabbos.shkia-15>13:45
rule=Seudah Shlishis:shabbos.shkia-60
rule=Maariv:shabbos.motzeiShabbos+5
rule=Shacharis:09:00
rule=Shacharis:mevorchim 08:30

Amud never changes your time. It adds a note if a time comes after Friday shkia, or before Shabbos ends when it is worked out from Shabbos ending.

Weekday rules

The same as Shabbos rules, with more. Put the days in front: sun, mon-fri, sun-thu, mon,thu, weekdays (not Shabbos or Yom Tov), or all (the default). Or the special days: bankholiday, roshchodesh, fast, yomtov, cholhamoed, erevyomtov, chanukah, selichos, summer, winter, or a date such as 2026-12-25. Commas mean any of them (sun,bankholiday); spaces mean all of them (roshchodesh sun is a Rosh Chodesh that falls on a Sunday). Bank holidays, Rosh Chodesh, fasts, Chol HaMoed, erev Yom Tov, Chanukah and Selichos days count on weekdays only, unless the rule also says all (roshchodesh all = every Rosh Chodesh, Shabbos and Yom Tov too) or sat.

When two rules with the same name fit one day, the more specific one wins, so a Sunday time replaces the weekday time on Sundays rather than showing two Shacharis. Most specific first: a date, Yom Tov, a bank holiday, Rosh Chodesh or a fast, Chol HaMoed or erev Yom Tov, Chanukah or Selichos, one day of the week, several days, then every day. A special day beats a day of the week; end a rule with !always to keep it even then (Shacharis:sun 08:00!always stays 8:00 on a Sunday Rosh Chodesh or bank holiday, though never on Yom Tov). Equally specific rules both show, for two minyanim under one name. Label:days off gives no time under that name on those days. Add !earliest or !latest to give one clock time for every day the rule covers, taken from the earliest or latest of them and then rounded. In a day or week answer there is only one shkia, so the day. in front of each key may be left off.

rule=Shacharis:weekdays 07:00
rule=Shacharis:sun,bankholiday 08:00
rule=Shacharis:roshchodesh 06:45
rule=Shacharis:roshchodesh sun 07:45
rule=Shacharis:sun 08:00!always
rule=Shacharis:roshchodesh all 06:45
rule=Mincha:sun-thu shkia-15!earliest@5down
rule=Mincha:fast shkia-40
rule=Maariv:sun-thu nacht<21:30
rule=Mincha:fri candleLighting
rule=Shiur:mon,thu 20:30
rule=Shiur:fast off

If a time worked out from a daytime zman lands after that day's shkia, the answer and the board say so. This is how a "latest of the week" Mincha shows the days it would be too late.

The davening, in Hebrew

Every day (and every Shabbos) carries davening: what is different from an ordinary day, in the order it is said, in vowelled Hebrew only, each with a key you can filter on. For example on Rosh Chodesh: יַעֲלֶה וְיָבֹא · חֲצִי הַלֵּל · אֵין תַּחֲנוּן · מוּסָף; on Shabbos Chol HaMoed אֵין צִדְקָתְךָ. Beside it come haftarah, molad and mevorchim (on Shabbos Mevorchim), specialHe, kiddushLevana and reminders, all in Hebrew, and gregorianDate and bankHoliday.

Time keys - Shabbos

Time keys - any day

Some appear only when they apply: chometz on Erev Pesach, fast times on a fast, candle lighting on an erev, "not before" on a second night, and Shabbos or Yom Tov ends on the night it goes out. These are always given on their day, even when fields leaves them out (fields=none gives no zmanim at all). Each day also says what is different about its davening, in Hebrew (davening), and gives tonight's Omer and Chanukah.
